I created labels for the teams and sorted the cards after the draft and balanced numbers – minimum 7 pitchers on each team with a roster limit of 24.Ĭity Division on the left – County DIvision on the right.įor the draft I did a straight draft with a two-minute limit on picks. My limitation in team names was that the city and nickname would be alliterative and found within the pronunciation capacity of Ernie Harwell in BBW. I created 14 teams – 7 based on cities in Tennessee and 7 based on Counties in Tennessee. I randomly assigned some characteristics/ratings to the BBW GM & Scout modules then randomly assigned those modules to 13 teams. Looking at the cards I am excited to use this set. I don’t recall if the cards were generated from a career average type of statistical model or a player’s best season. I assume it means stats have the ballpark effects removed and regenerated based on an average season, usually a season from the late 1950’s.

The BBW data file also has no stats for the players, but I know the set has been normalized – whatever that means. The card set has Master Symbols, but no stats on the cards. The APBA Hall of Fame set was made available in 2016 and I bought the data file to use in Baseball for Windows as well as the card set.

It was a fun tournament but I am considering something a little different. I recently finished a 40 team double elimination tournament.
